its so great to be able to read these transcripts online. i don't often have time or the place to listen to podcasts and this means i won't miss features like these. i sometimes much prefer to read than listen. it will also extend to a much larger audience. great addition.
i think portafilter.net should transcript their entire show so i can scroll down all the nick and jay stuff and get right to the coffee stuff.
hey there's no smilies here, i need one with the tongue sticking out.

Man, this takes me back! I never jumped behind the counter at CC to wash dishes, but some of my friends did. (And this also reminded me of the fabulous sandwiches Formaggio sold in the next store over of that first little mall.) Thanks for the nice memory. Will you/have you asked Mr. Howells why Copacafe in Lexington, MA shut down? It was such a thrill to see his coffees on sale in a retail setting again and then, one day, gone . . .

Coffee Connection was absolutely the best, and I was dismayed when Starbucks took it over. For a while, they promised to keep the CC blends going, but we knew it couldn't last. I still think nostalgically about CC, the blending skill that went into it, the personnel who worked the stores, the whole ambience. thank you George, for taking us down memory road. I guess I'll have to give terroir a try, and hope it's as great as Coffee Connection was.
