"Apparently, the competition is not open to the general public... except for the last (finals) day."
So, only the judges are going to be able to watch the USBC until Monday? Did I read that correctly? I was looking forward to getting to see some of that.
Everybody needs an addiction.
I'm not addicted to coffee, I just have to have a cup EVERY morning.

Anyone know anything about the Compak grinders? Are they using the K-10 Conic? That would be sick. Good exposure for Compak. I'm not very familiar with them and would love to get some feedback from some of the Baristi. (Hey Gabe, maybe after you win this thing you can post some comments?) ;->

A surprisingly high number of competitors were using the K10 Conic. Good stuff.
I did poll a few Baristas about the grinder. The biggest knock is how huge the cap is on the doser (they have to constantly remove it to check grinds and clean it out, and its awkward). But overall, I think the grinder was very well received.
