I talked about sample roasters with Terry at the Ambex booth as well. He mentioned that they have a 0.5 kg unit prototyped, but need to plan if/how they bring it to market. Their concern is home use - something that they are not set up to deal with both from a distribution and insurance point of view. Terry knows that there is a group of sophisticated home roasters that would be interested in a 1 pound gas-fired sample roaster and would start asking about it as soon as it was announced.

Hey Mark, Thanks for the nice write up. And thanks for being a coffee geek. What I mean is, it's great to have you do what you do do. It's nice to look back at the show, with pictures and comments on new gear and all of the supplementary info you provide. No one else is doing it, and I for one appreciate it.
