Mark,
I cannot say what a joy it was to see the write up you did on your visit with me at the Hottop booth in Long Beach. Less than 7 years ago I was posting on alt.coffee, asking help from the great folks there about what should be my first espresso machine purchase. It was, in great part, your enthusiasm for the Silvia that led me to that purchase. Now look at us! From a couple of enthusiasts we have grown into.. well.. whatever we have grown into, here we are!
You kind words about my efforts and participation in the world of coffee are genuinely appreciated.
I would have written this sooner, but my head swelled to such proportions after reading your comments that I couldn't get through my office door!

Hi. I sent a e-mail to Greek Electra dealer about this new Electra grinder, and I have been told that it is discontinued. Is this so, or they simply don"t know? Theodore.

Hi. I received a answer from Electra srl with a pdf of the grinder, but I don"t know how to upload it. Anyway,I can write some of the specs. Weight 26Kg Dimensions H690-L290-P450mm Grinding conical blades diam 68mm- thick 25mm rpm 500 freq 50/60Hz (it is written 56, but I think it is 50) Voltage 230-240V Grinding duration single dose 1.8-1.9sec double dose 3.6sec Electronics with direct current 5Volts- 10mA.
I see, that it has a large fan to cool the grinds. Also there is a special tamper. Ah, and the price is, Euros 2,000 ex works. Regards, Theodore.

At last, I bought the grinder, from espressocoffeeshop in Italy.(Very reliable shop.I have bought the Macap CPS tamper also from them). It is a beast,at 26Kg,on par to the Robur.(I saw the power, of this, which is not written in the manual, but underside of the machine. It is a fat 900w). Dosing and distributing, perfect. I have this several days, but I had not my Techno, because I had sent this for a service. So,I have just begin to test the grinder. First impressions, excellent.I understand, how good is my Techno, for the first time.(I have it for 7 years). Body, aroma, aftertaste,no bitter at all.And all with the same, not first quality coffee, I buy green from a local seller,at Euros 10/Kg. Keep in touch, for more details. Greetings from Athens, Theodore.
