Our last day roaming the floors of the SCAA Trade Show and Conference in Long Beach for 2007, we'll look at the completion of the USBC, and many exciting and innovative products on the show floor, plus a look at some of the show's personalities.

Tiamo is a product line manufactuered by the Taiwanese company, Ciron, which started as a stainless steel goods (houseware) company. The prducts were orginally manufactured in Taiwan but production has since moved to China. As Mark noted, the products are mostly copies of Hario/other Japanese brand designs. Built quality is good but not excellent - you get what you paid for. They also have an economy line called Amour.

I enquired about pricing myself, because, who knows, there may be a CG vending site soon for hard-to-find stuff.
I don't know, but I think it would be hard to price yourself, especially since you're priceless to the rest of us. Plus we all know where to find you. {:-)
Seriously, thanks for the vicarious experience of SCAA.

LOL! I had myself priced a few years ago. I'm worth about $4 plus change ;)
LOTS more coming today in this Day 3 report - it is taking a long time to compile things, and the LM Booth visit is going to be big, but I have to confirm some things with LM first before posting it (mainly about LM's new grinder).

On skyscraperpage, somebody who always votes for his own city (or city's buildings) on polls is called a "homer." So you're a "homer" for saying 49th Parallel had the best espresso. Not sure if that would catch on everywhere- I think they say it on hockey boards too...

Here in the states, team announcers who froth at the mouth for their beloved Red Sox, Yankees, Braves, Cubs, Jets, Patriots, etc are also called "Homers"... I'll cut Mark P some slack on this one(49th Parallel) for 2 reasons...1), he gets all the free espresso he needs at home, and 2)He WILL tell it like it is (or how he thinks it is), regardless.... So praise from him is not bought and sold...but deserved. Though he is, like me, a SWAG hound...LOL

Just a note here - I stalled on the Day three report because two photographic jobs popped up for me to do, and well, I's gots ta pays the bills, you know. The SCAA don't pay me to go to the show. Damnit. ;) (kidding!)
But hey, they free publicity tour for the SCAA will continue this weekend. I'm going to do a new article, called "SCAA Wrapup" though it's mainly going to be about things I didn't cover in these three day reports, including
- interview with Bill Crossland about the various LM projects - interview with Chris "Defurious!" Deferio and his Finals round - Photos and text from the USBC finals announcement. - shots from the Importika Booth - shots and words from other booths - some personal thoughts on the show.
