This time around, a view of the prelim and semi-final rounds. I didn't manage to capture every competiting Baristi, but you'll see some new faces and some of the folks who made the semis and finals.
How cool to see the progression of their drinks, how they are highlighted, and the different techniques. Mark Pfaff sure did have a strange looking tamp! looking forward to the next set.
The photo essay is an awesome addition to coffeegeek for me..... I am luvin' it Mark... thank you for putting this much effort into showing us what went on... it goes a long way into drawing interest into these conventions....
DOM...evil genius ...Up to no good in espresso at all times... VIVA la parts de Espresso
I hope you don't think that I was dissin' you. On my post that I did the other day, I was talking about something else, not you.
I'll write you an email about that later.
I wish that I could have watched more competitors.... that's where I learned so much these past few years. I've found that it's easier to compete if I just don't watch. Maybe I should take a year off or so, to just watch my friends do their thing...
Woah! I thought it was all in jest! :) You mean there was something serious behind it? :).
Fire off that email Billy!
In the meantime, I gotta say, I really enjoyed seeing you "work" at the USBC, esp. in the highlighted round... you were so "on" it wasn't funny. It's like watching a budding virtuoso at work, and I'm not kidding one bit.
