This photo essay from the 2004 SCAA Conference and Trade Show shows the Judges' involved in the United States Barista Championship. Think you've seen intense?
Short of attending one of these events as either a spec or a competitor, is there any way that a packmule like myself can watch these barista competitions from the safety and comfort of my armchair?
Something like an enthusiast divXing his experience as a spectator or an scaa recording of the proceedings? :)
If i went to one of these events as a competitor, I'd love to do a bit more research first rather than jumping in and trying my luck (especially after reading someone's reply (sjames?) on how competition pressure is intense compared to customer pressure eeeep!)
tia for any and all replies :)
edit: I forgot to say that the pics along with captions provide a fascinating insight as well- good work mark!
