OK, I've received a reply from Northwest Glass. It appears that when they first listed it on their website, they made the mistake of listing their price they pay Yama for the brewer, not their retail (or even wholesale) price. I assume they're honouring the old price for those who ordered it while it was listed that way, but the new $99 price stands.
That said, there are two important notes here. First, the filter's been improved since my preproduction unit's design. Second, it includes a second filter, a ceramic filter designed to let you brew cold coffee as well as hot (or tea).
I'll be listing this brewer in the Under $500 list later today.

I ordered two sets of the Illy Crystal Espresso Cups. Out of the box, one of them looked just like your picture. The other set, however, was quite a bit different (see pic).
The cups come packed in a die cut corrugated cardboard sleeve, which was wholly inadequate in protecting the fragile cups against the rigors of shipping.

I am impressed with Illy's customer service. Within hours of my email informing them of the broken cups, they replied saying that a replacement set is on its way.
