I'll be interested to see what you think about the HotTop as it compares to the Alp, especially since you've been using the Alp regularly.

Swissmar Alpenrost First Look

The Swissmar Alpenrost was eagerly anticipated when it first came out. Now some 3 years later, it has undergone some revisions - how does the current model stand up? This is our First Look.

In your 1st look here regarding the Alp, you mentioned the early anticipation and then a long time to market.  The same thing is happening with the HotTop.

I was waiting for the HotTop and when I heard it wasn't going be be out anytime soon, I made the jump to the Alp.

My first roast with the Alp came out exactly as I wanted.  I am concerned about the longevity issues the Alp seems to have, so am looking forward to the detailed review.  Your first impressions aided me in deciding to get the Alp.  So far it's been an interesting journey.

Thanks for the review.

Jim
