I have only yet skimmed the guide, but as a beginer (only kinda cupping twice) I thought that it was done very well, and can be quite helpful to beginers... not to mention, was a pleasure to read (I enjoyed the wording, which is important to me, since I love to read.) I hope this guide comes in handy for others as well.

I also thought this article was terrific. I would love to see a printable version that I could refer to while I was setting things up for an at home cupping. No doubt it would soon be covered with coffee stains.

It is my opinion that Geoff Watts is one of the best coffee cuppers and writers there is. This article proves my point. I also give it a 10.
I believe, as Geoff does, that cupping coffee outside the 'coffeebuyer' setting is one of the most rewarding activities around. I find the active description of flavors to be a wonderful pastime, especially in the context of coffee.

Thanks for this guide. Now I know what really goes into a cupping session. I was thinking that each coffee had to be brewed and ready at the same time (nightmare flashbacks to trying to put on Thanksgiving Dinner for 30 and have every dish hot at the same time!!).
I agree it's well written and makes the whole process approachable. I can't wait to try this at home, now.
I had no idea what went on at a cupping until now. I had assumed that cupping was usually done with shots of espresso and couldn't imagine how you could have that many shots ready at the same time. I'll definitely have to try this out sometime.
