I bought my latest butane burners from musicmedic.com as well. They have a good price on them, and they ship pretty fast. I just don't know if they ship to Canada; I had mine shipped to my US mailing address. Mark

They do indeed ship to Canada, and they ship free at that. Money Orders only, though. That can be arranged. I can save myself the trouble by purchasing the Yama stove top unit, but its just not as much as a "bring to the table conversation starter". With a brewer as beautiful as the Yama you want to be able to wow guests right there at the table., also makes it more portable to bring to my local coffee mentors and show it off. Hate to give my age away but I worked in the fireservice for 35 years, when I came on the Fire department in 1973 we used exclusively Nicro Vacuum coffee pots in all 9 firehouses (two or three coffee makers in each station). Your right, the coffee is the best coffee you could ever drink. I am retired now but work part time in our Fire Prevention Division, rarely getting back to the Firehouse. I did get back to say hi a few weeks ago and the kids were asking me what the stainless steel contraption was that was sitting on a top shelf of a storage room. I told them what it was and they laughed, I took it and told them I would try to find a filter and show them how it worked and what a great cup of Joe it makes The upper and lower stainless steel portions and even the rubber gasket was there but not the stainless steel filter with spring. In the last few weeks I have been traveling to some of our fire stations looking for a filter, cannot find any filters OR even old pots. I've asked some of the guys that have 25 years on the job and they do not even remember using these pots. I would love to find a source for these filters, if anyone can steer me in a direction to find I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks, Jim

Regarding the 2 cup vs. 3 cup question - judging from reading the excellent article and these 10 pages of posts, it seems that one must use the coffee maker at capacity? Specifically, if I purchase a 3-cup, I must make 3 'cups'? Is this right? It'll just be me and I plan to make them a bit strong for an Americano-type beverage so a 2-cup would probably be a better fit. This will fill in whilst I wait for my espresso maker to be repaired. Also considering an Aeropress since the reviews are so favorable and since Americanos are what I enjoy, with a splash of 1/2 and 1/2, a multitude of imperfections can be covered. The price of both of these options is so pleasing! BTW I am looking at the Yama TCA-2 & TCA-3. Gotta go with a butane burner - who knew coffee could be so much fun? Thanks for any insight. Cheers!
