Something new - a short news based podcast that I'll be doing (hopefully) once or twice a week in between the main CoffeeGeek Podcasts. It's in the main feeds for the CG Podcast.

Questions or comments podcast@coffeegeek.com or call the voicemail line at 1-206-965-8185, or Skype to Skype - search for the CoffeeGeek username.

Take your pick on how to listen:
RSS MP3 Feed;
RSS Enhanced Audio Feed (NEW! iTunes / iPod only)
Choose your links for subscribing. Or if you prefer a direct download, here it is:
CG Ristretto Podcast 01 MP3 File.
Apple iTunes direct link (enhanced feed)

Mark!
Wow thats quite a doing.  I enjoyed the podcast, but having one so often seems like quite an undertaking.  None-the-less I have enjoyed your podcasts!  I do like the idea of current news.  That concept seems useful and appropriate for such quick-releases.

Happy to hear your voice again, so soon after the last podcast!

For those interested in hearing more from author Taylor Clark, who is covered by the Slate Article, "Don't Fear Starbucks" there is a CBC radio podcast... STARBUCKED PODCAST featuring an interview with Clark.

I want to do another, but I'm hampered with a bad cold. I am better now, but the voice still has not recovered.

Love the ristretto format, so I can get my podcast fix almost as often as my espresso.

Not so sure about the reverse jinx of starbucks however.  I wonder if the experience of local cafe owners in small towns (less than 50,000) would be similar.  In my town of 9000, a starbucks would never be so packed as to send folks back to the cafe they used to go to.  Perhaps starbucks would never come to such a small town, but I wonder.  Walmarts also have less effect in large cities than in small towns for similar reasons.

Anyway, food for thought.  Keep up the good work.

Anyone know why the Illy store sells the crystal cups in Italy but not the US store?  Know of any suppliers in the US that has them?
