Subject: Youngest Barrista?

This of course is my first post to the board so I better start off by introducing myself.

I'm 14, live in Melbourne Australia and obviously like coffee (to a point).
Being young, drinking coffee isn't what many people recommend so I tend to restrict the amount I drink, usually around 1 or 0 a day.

I'm interested in Jazz, Macs (Apple Computers) and Photography (See my web site for more), my avatar is a pic I took of the Gaggia.

I've read up on coffee history (which is a bit boring) and have had a few courses on big commercial machines, the courses are through friends and aren't really official, but I know how to use them.

I sometimes go to Hudsons (The Australian version of Starbucks) and tried some of the different mixes (The ones where it becomes a milkshake).

I've got a Gaggia Classic and no grinder (It's sometimes easier to buy pre-ground) and tend to make more for others rather than for me.

Since the coffee culture kicked off in Melbourne that's when I started.

It feels like I just placed an ad in the singles column...

To the point of the topic:
On this site, who would be the youngest barrista around?

I suppose this is where I put in the coffee comment.

No idea, really, and there's lots of lurkers.  I would guess that Billy Wilson aka xristrettox would be our most recognized youngin'.  He place 5th in the National Barista Championships in Boston.

Depends what you mean by "Barista".  I work at a cafe, but I'm not exactly a professional.

...and on that note, I need a coffee.
