Hi Girls & Guys I got such a laught the other day from an espresso owner, who's wife went to make a coffee, did all the right things except to check that the portafilter she was using contained a blank and then she couldn't work out what was wrong with the brand new espresso machine.
So I thought, with input from all the coffeegeeks around the world, there must be some amazing stories about bad coffee experiences and just laughable situations.
In Australia, Coffex Coffee was offering as a prize a La Cimbali Junior S as a prize on a game show, complete with some cups and a years supply of coffee. I spoke to the lady who won the prize, because she was selling the machine. In the negotiations she asked if I wanted to buy the coffee. A little suprised I enquired about the coffee. She told me that when the machine was delivered a month ago, it came with the one years supply of coffee (24kg) and she had had it in her front room for the past month.
Imagine drinking an espresso from 1 year old beans???
