I've searched the threads here as best as I could. I've also googled ceramic travel mugs and found some...but I wanted to know if anyone has used a ceramic travel mug (which hopefully is leakproof and does a good job of keeping the coffee hot). I'm looking for one with as little plastic / rubber as possible, because I've found that with my SS mug, the odor cannot be removed (may not be an issue, but it bothers me).
Wow - I am on the hunt for the same item. Have had some bad to great travel mugs, but ceramic is preferable, just because.
Will watch this thread with interest. Curious to know your best ceramic travel mug find . . . recently got distracted with finding a clip on carabener type mug. Back to Google - will be sure to share any findings.
I have been saving an unusual older model with a lighter plug-in for heat. The top is gone and so is the plug (likely will be able to find one) and funny the breakable part has survived. It belonged to a friend who also could not part with it (until I saw it): its 16oz, black with a narrower base (in order to fit into cup holders I gather) with the top half shaped like a ball . . also has a large handle which was great for my friend's big mitts.
I bet some great replies will come regarding the dealing with the odor though - I'm with you yuuck. Have tried all but my coffee detergent powder.
