I am writing this article because i want to gauge what coffee consumers think of Kenya AA coffee or any other Kenyan coffees. Any one out there who has tried Kenyan coffee please give me an honest opinion on what you thought of the coffee, please include the roaster you got it from

Virtually all of my Kenyans are from Sweet Maria's, meaning that they are green beans. I roast them myself. World class coffee at a bargain basement price.

Kenya is my favorite for regular (non-espresso) coffee. Kenya AA or AB are bean size and flaw grades, so they don't tell a buyer a lot about the taste. I like the ones with a lower keyed acidity that's described as winelike, especially if there's lots of aromatics. I'm not crazy about those that have very harsh roast flavors, and prefer them roasted City (they get dark very early in the roast, so one has to trust the roaster).
I roast them myself now, but used to buy them from Intelligentsia since I lived in Chicago, and Barnies when I lived in DC. They picked ones I usually liked. I don't like the Starbies or Peet's offereings, probably because they're over-roasted.

Kenya AA is among my favorite varietals. I usually make it drip or press pot style. I just picked up a pound from a local roaster today and I'm going to try it as espresso.

I drink Kenya AA regularly, it is a favorite! But, I also switch occationaly to Tanzanian and Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. These make a great rich and flavorful cup when brewed with a french press.
