Subject: Whats in your coffee today?

After rolling out of bed this morning, I stumbled to the kitchen with bleary eyes and a foggy head.

After reassembling my Capresso Infinity, I start to load the hopper with my one of my favorite coffees ("Clydes Blend" from Quartermaine Roasters).  As I'm scooping beans into the grinder, I begin to perk up in anticipation of the delicious brew my Newco is about to bestow upon me in 6 minutes or so.

After loading the hopper, I turn the grinder on and go about making my lunch for the day.   I turn back to look in the hopper and I see something moving.  Something that isn't coffee ground at the coarsest Fine level.   Its a big, farking CENTIPEDE.  In my grinder!

What a buzzkill.  I hate those damn things with every ounce of my being and to have one in my coffee was almost too much.  Almost.

I dumped the coffee, made a new batch and am now enjoying it as I write this post.

So, whats in your coffee today?

That's not pretty.

Over the last couple years I have had a small rock once, and some wood debris once.
I'll take that over a centipede.
Just wonder where the centipede came from?
You hear once in a while where a tropical insect rides along with the produce and ends up in a grocery store in Alaska!

Hi Kevin,

I hope that the centipede didn't make it into the grinding burrs! {:-O

Yeah, and at least you noticed it before pulling a shot of bug juice.
