I know this has been addressed in other threads but I'm wondering if there's been any progress in making this "mystical metal filter" available to us-
Re: my brew, I'm really enjoying SM's Rwanda Gkongoro Nyarusiza, roasted to FC, made in a FrenchPress. As a newb, it's some of the best coffee I've tasted in years - I think I nailed the roast at the sweet spot - I get a tangy butterscotch taste which is really great!

La Mintia in the Press Pot this moring. This is my third coffee season of home roasting, and while I have had my head turned by several coffees, La Minita is just so consistent. It isn't always my favorite coffee, but it is always in my top 3. The last two summers I have debated ordering some new crop of it and the last two summers when I have drank the last batch from last season, I decide to get some more.
FYI, I had been drinking some Pacamara peaberry last week and while I enjoyed it I became frustrated because the beans are so big that my little ole Peugeot handgrinder had a hard time get a hold of the beans.

Got some Tarazzu from Counter Culture, damn sometimes living in Canada sucks. The service from CC was fantastic, got the coffee 6 days after roasting but paid more for shipping and brokerage feess then I paid for this and some Espresso Tosccano. Best as I can tell it tastes fantastic, but I have a killer summer cold so I'm sure I'm a little off. Brewed in my French Press, little under 4 minutes dwell time. Nice and full, incredibly smooth, lots of spice notes especially cardamon.
Finished my last pound Black Cat and opened my last pound of Kid O's just before the CC arrived. Love Kid O, so smooth and so much chocolate. Also very forgiving.

I made a faux iced Americano with my Moka Pot using Yemen Sharasi roasted to FC+ back on the 19th. It's really tasty with a bit of dark berriness showing through.

Today I am using up a bunch of leftovers, but wow is this one tasty tasty cup of coffee.
24g Ethiopian Yirga-Cheffe Organic Bagersh Idido Misty Valley@City+ (16 days out) 12g Ethiopian Yirga-Cheffe Organic Menno's Idido Misty Valley@City+ (16 days out) 10g Yemen Mokha Sharasi@Full City (6 days out) =46g/24 ounces of water.
The cup changes a lot from start to finish (both with first impression fading into aftertaste and from piping hot to cooling off). The spice from the Yemen is coming through really strongly today. Blueberry and strawberry from the Bagersh IMV, and floral from one or the other of the IMVs. Great cup and really enjoying it. Brewed Chemex.

Colombian Bachua 50% Ethiopian Harar Blue Horse 50% roasted to start of 2nd crack. Rich, smooth chocolate/fruity notes, intense mouthfeel and lingering aftertaste. Drinking as Americano (double ristretto base), latte and flat whites. Cuts through the milk for a wonderful chocolatey/caramel sensation.

I'm drinking 17g doubles of Terroir's Konga Co-Op N.I. Yirgacheffe as straight shots & the new crop of Esmeralda from PT's Coffee brewed in a large Finum filter using 32g of coffee w/16oz water. Both are excellent!
