I usually don't enjoy acidy or fruity flavors in my coffee as much as I enjoy chocolate and caramel.  What regions lend themselves to stronger caramel flavors?  Please note that I'm not looking for blends or company specific beans, I'm just interested in regions.

Thanks.

I have some Nicaraguan Limoncello that, at least to me, presents a caramel flavor at C+ to FC.

I do put a little sugar and cream in my coffee, which always accentuates flavors like chocolate and caramel...so keep that in mind :)

A good extra sweet Central, maybe a bourbon varietal roasted to  fc+. Caramel is more from the caramelized sugars in the coffee. Go to Sweetmarias.com and click on the titles of the centrals to see the details and the ones with extra sweetness.

Thanks, malkore and farmroast.  You've given me a good place to start.

Does anyone else have other bean suggestions or places to research?

Peruvian coffees from the North East region (Penachi, Amazonas, Nueva York) hold some pretty hefty chocolate and caramel notes.  Acidity tends to be quite mild as well in these coffees.  If you've ever heard of Cafe Femenino Peru, this coffee is a perfect example of a great northern Peruvian coffee.....lots of chocolate and caramel when roasted just into 2nd crack (fc)

Good Bolivians.  Try some of the national jury winners at Invalsa.  The Nakhaki Aymara would fit your request, as well as the Kantati:
