Subject: Inverse Eppiphany?

I posted this in the wrong place initially--or maybe there is no right place!
---------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------

About 2 weeks ago, I roasted for the first time. I drank it myself, enjoyed it (mostly--first taste of first batch had a significant sour note). A dinner guest commented about how good the decaf Yirgacheffe (Sweetmaria's) tasted. Well, this is the problem. I have accidently obtained a large supply of already roasted stuff--Trader Joe's Costa Rica Finca Leon Estates and Sumatra Lintong, Raven's Brew "Dead Man's Reach" etc. I have tasted the Costa Rica and Raven's Brew. Nothing. No flavor. I am in shock. I am trying to figure out if there is some variable here that I can isolate--is it the first cup in the morning without food? Is it because I just started using my CPAP again (I have sleep apnea. CPAP stands for something like "Continuos Positive Air Pressure. Its a device that uses air pressure to keep one's airways open during sleep) and that throws off my taste buds? I haven't had my own roasted stuff in several days so there is no comparison possible yet. I had a starbucks iced "Gold Coast" with 2 shots of espresso in it yesterday that I thought was very tasty, so the hour of day may have a bearing (by the way, I happen to think this is a "good" starbucks, but I acknowledge being inexperienced). My Dirp pot may finally be dying...who knows. Any ideas why my coffee is tasteless?
