To anyone out there that would be kind enough to sell, and send me good coffee. I live in China and so far where ever I go the coffee is rubbish. I have to order my coffee from the uk which is very expensive. The post is of course the big factor so I need reasonable priced coffee to comensate for the price of the post. My wife's uncle owns a big tea company in China, selling the best of the best Chinese green tea of many varieties so I can do and exchange.
They roast small with 100 and 200g at a time. From time to time, they also have CoE beans. The Dark Chocolate blend was excellent, when I was there two years ago. It has a nice body and acidity, unlike most other Asian roasts that are roasted too dark.
Although Orsir is in Taiwan, it does offer mail service to mainland China. You can specify the degree of roast to get exactly what you want. Joe Hsu is also CoE judge, so CoE beans are always on the menu if you want to splurge. Orsir's siphonist recently won first place in Tokyo. Her competition blend is available for sale.
Also for Taiwan, Aroma Roast/Four Arts Zero Defect:
Simon Hsieh's coffee recently scored 97 on Coffeereview. The shipping is quite expensive, but since you are willing to pay shipping for UK coffee, which by the time it reaches you is probably stale, you might as well spend some dough for decent coffee.
For the mainland, you may try these places. I however don't have personal experience with these vendors, since last time I was in the mainland was three years ago, but they seem to have a good reputation on the Chinese coffee forum.
Northfei is located in Hangzhou. It should be a nice romantic place to visit.
In Shanghai, try carmo. You can actually get authentic Jamaica Blue Mountain and Panama Geisha from time to time, roasted fresh and not fake, should you care for dubious name rather than real flavor and value:

Wow thanks! I am in Beijing by the way. It may be the capital but it is not as developed as Hong Kong and Shanghai. I just hope the shops you suggested send coffee too.

For Beijing, this cafe right next to Ching Hua University may offer some decent coffee. Again, last time I visited Beijing was several years ago and have no personal experience. Henry, thanks much for your help. I can't imagine, with all the tourism, that there wouldn't be some specialty roasting going on, and some decent cafe's to compete with "you know who."

I have a family member and a friend who moved to Shanghai. I have been mailing them coffee every few months. Starbucks has a foothold there but they don' like that stuff either.
