Bonavita at $149 is a good price compared to TV. Almost bought one but they're sold out until the next production run. I'm glad, 'cause if the Gort is $199 I'm waiting for it. If it's half as dependable and half as functional as the Behmor 1600, I'm sold. Only thing left for my kitchen is a Behmor Fargo (bean grinder).
that's what sold me too. i was ready to buy gort before i even knew what it was....... but i don't drink drip. :( :( :(
congratulations on the new baby joe!

I'll be doing a demo of Gort/ Brazen Brew System in San Diego tomorrow at the monthly meeting of the San Diego Home Roasters get together.
10am Saturday April 14 at Cafe Virtuoso 1616 National Ave, San Diego, CA 92115.
Come join us.
and BB.. this is anything but a std drip brewer. The shower head combined with the custom designed program, pre-soak etc., in many ways emulates a pour over yet still very clean on the palate.
REMINDER: Never leave the roaster unattended when in use !! And remember to use our Rosetta Stone tip PART V PARAGRAPH 3.. it works !!!
And I said that too....but the Brazen (code name Gort) makes a mean cup, I have to say. I've been drinking french press for I can't remember how many years, but am currently not missing it AT ALL with my prototype Gort :)

I just might be drooling.
Bought my daughter and her s/o a Bonavita thermal for Christmas because every one here raved about it and they love it. If this is that much better, I might have to just break out my check book and upgrade my home setup sooner than I had planned.
