Awesome, but for that price, I need some shark fin, abalone, or bald eagle filets thrown in.

The article says the company that makes the burger has named it " the Douche Burger" ???

Only in New York City will something this wacko actually sell.

How bizarre.

You gotta read some of Anthony Bourdain's books on this stuff.

He uses similar terms. he doesn't actually call it a douche burger but a burger for douche bags who have more money than brains.

Now it all makes sense.

from Anthony Bourdain's book, "Medium Raw".

....as high fiving day traders from some by-now defunct investment bank or brokerage house hurried, lemming-like, to order the "best burger ever." Of course, chances are, the Kobe beef in that Kobe beef burger had never been anywhere near Japan.

......what makes Wagyu steak so desirable is the unbelievable prodigious marbling of fat that runs through it - often as much as 50%. Its resulting tenderness and richness, and the subtle - repeat subtle flavour. When grinding a hamburger, you can put in as much fat as you like- just reach in the fat can and drop it in the machine - so there is no reason to pay a hundred bucks for a burger. A burger already is about as tender as a piece of meat can be - and a taste as subtle as real Wagyu would, in any case, be lost were you to do something so insensitive as bury it between two buns and slather it with ketchup.

Between the douche bag rants he also goes off on Cargill and the pink slime. He also goes off on Starbucks. when I get the energy I will type it out on here.
