Business idea:  An amazon dot com type of website, for local coffeehouses to sell their coffee.  Consumers can browse and rate coffee from local shops around the country, and buy bags, kcups, etc. from them.  Great idea, so so idea, sucky idea?  Honesty, please.

Thanks for the feedback.  These sites pre buy product and resell them.  I was thinking of creating a window into the local cafes themselves.  The consumer would buy directly from the cafe, and my website would be the conduit.

But your point is well taken.  I wonder how successful these sites are...

Seems like an easy enough idea to implement:  Wordpress w/classified ad plugin, email/snailmail/cold call invite to roasters to signup on ad system (plenty of contact lists that can be demographed to roasteries I suppose), google adwords to get people to use your system (thats where the $$$ is going to go).

That is just one idea related to the mechanics of what you are envisioning.  I am sure there are more ways to do it.

Try gocoffeego

Not a ton of roasters, but you are really getting from them, just with the gocoffeego label. Often shipping is less than the regular website

CraftCoffee is pretty successful. CitizenBean was another sort of like this but full pounds. Don't know if this is still around or not.

I have used gocoffeego to gift my daughter and SiL They like getting the random coffee's. You get to try something you never tried before. Recently got him a Craft Coffee 3 month kit.

The world needs more outstanding coffee.

do you game?:
