Thought I might share a cool trick I learned on my behmor. Sometimes I get first and second crack running into each other on P1 so now I open the door after first crack and slowly coast into second crack. It seems to give me a more even roast. I like most roasts to stop just before second crack starts. Just my 2 cents worth.
Have you tried the other roast profiles? I've been using P2, B on my last couple, which got me well past 1st but not into second, at the max time. I roast 7oz on the 1/2lb setting btw.

Thats funny. I wish I would have picked up that tip 20 roasts ago. I had to learn it for myself. I have tried p2 and had the best luck using half lb setting with 8oz beans but it never has reached 2nd crack. I have used the p5 setting using 8oz of beans at the full lb setting and had some good results getting a city plus that was nice and even. No matter what I have tried has been great in the cup except for when I get too far into second crack and burn the beans.
