I being a newbie and wanting to expand my capabilities as far as volume, bought this off of eBay. All others please beware, it is 2 colanders that don't even hook together and nothing inside to agitate the beans so they can sit on the bottom and burn.

Just want me to be the last victim.

Did you click on the link in the auction to check their website. It doesn't exist from what I saw.

If you're not happy, you should just return it. As far as my experiences, as a buyer you can't be scammed on ebay as long as you pay with paypal.

Good luck!

I am working on returning it. I just wanted to let anyone who may fall into the trap to be careful. I unfortunately wasn't. No excuses just stupidity on my part. I should know better, I've been on eBay almost 15 years.
As I said, I would like to be the last home roaster scammed by this seller.

My two cents:
IT clearly says you need a grill with a rotesseri, and of course if you want the shaft to rotate you need a motor.

"THIS COFFEE ROASTING BASKET ATTACHES TO ANY GAS GRILL WITH A ROTESSERI ATTACHEMENT (THE ROTESSERI SPIT AND MOTOR ARE NOT INCLUDED IN AUCTION)."

I'm sure you will get your money back. However, calling this a 'scam' is a bit 'over-the-top'..........

"(THE ROTESSERI SPIT AND MOTOR ARE NOT INCLUDED IN AUCTION)."

Furthermore, its hard to find a good 'popper' for $23 these days...

+1,  From reading the auction description it is clear to me that the person is selling only the basket for the beans.  There is no motor, no spit, no grill.  Even the title makes no reference to this being a complete roaster but only a basket.

I believe the op was referring that the drum has no agitation fins not that there was no motor, no agitation equals burnt beans.

don't forget the part where the 2 halves/colanders don't even hook together. it's not even a basket.

i think the word "scam" is appropriate.
