Can anyone help me with a ballpark starter profile for Idido Misty Valley in an iRoast? The beans are old (2007), the roaster is new to me. Everything I'm finding about IMV profiles are for drum roasters and not much help with the iRoast.
I did a double-take on the post date when I saw Idido Misty Valley. Given the age of the bean, unless they have been stored in some suspended animation, approaching absolute zero, or a secret chamber in the pyramids of Egypt, .... I don't think it will matter much how you roast them; They are long past their prime, and likely will be only woody/papery.
But back in the day when IMV was the finest cup on the planet, I would suggest a minimal drying, brisk ramp to first crack, and a 3 to 3.5 finish to City-City+. About 9-10 minute roast in an air roaster. Ahhhhh, Those were the days. Hope it works out for you.
