Click Here (www.sweetmarias.com) , this is a very good green French roast blend. It is not easy to get beans that taste acceptable when taken towards the end of second crack but this one works nice. One of my sister in laws is from New Orleans and likes here French roast/chicory blend and I roast it for her, yes I sample all I roast and this blend works well for a proper French Roast.

A little judicious Googling seems to indicate that the Kirkland branded French Roast blend is Sumatrans. I would assume that the greens are the same blend, but am not 100% sure.

Back when Costco had roasters in the Store (Folsom CA) and brought the coffee in 150 lb bags they would sell it in the same bags in which they sold the roasted coffee. I used to buy the coffee which they sold as French roast. It was Costa Rica. I would roast it to second crack. I thought it was pretty good.
After the roaster load 30 lb packages arrived they would not sell it in small amounts. Sometime later the roaster went away. I was told that they had a roaster fire and one of the suits decreed that the roasters had to go.
