I roast with a 5 pound rotisserie drum that makes very nice roasts. But the drum, the spit, the forks, the thumbscrews all get very hot and I have burnt myself on occasion even through my oven mitt. My standard kitchen oven mitts are better than nothing but are not up to the temperatures that are on the metal parts when the roast is done and I pull it off the grill. What high temp mitts are you folks using that do work well? Larry

They are about the best to use. I use them myself all the time.

I've had mine for years, Larry. The 2 pack on Amazon is a good deal.

Ove Gloves for sure. I've tried welding gloves and other oven mitts. nothing compares to Ove gloves. Be sure to keep them dry though, else you'll burn yourself.
