Why do you want to roast the coffee beans only on hot air?
Never heard about Loring, tnx. But the first thing i read is "making them the most ecologically friendly roasters on the planet." And thats not correct is it, an electrical roaster used in Norway is waaay more ecologically friendly. Just saying.

I prefer to avoid/limit conduction heating of the surface of the beans(heavily heated metal to bean). Especially with DP beans with sensitive particles of mucilage and silverskin on the bean surface. I like really clean light roasts, even from bean to bean with control of outside to inside difference without scorching or tipping. I also prefer adjustable mechanically driven agitation convection to limit oxygen exposure and maintain some level of moisture in the roasting environment for better and more even heat intake into the beans.
