To me it looks uneven, maybe that's what he means. Some are roasted light brown, others dark. That doesn't mean it doesn't taste good, but it is not a consistent roast.
Wow, that is a cool way to roast. Say, if you use scented candles does that flavor the beans also? Do they have hazelnut scented candles? That would be lovely.
