Looks just like an Amazon roaster from China. IF I was going to buy a Chinese Roaster it would be one of the standard gas models with the blower motor on top like the 1K. Why not just import it yourself? It's not that difficult; the builder will arrange shipping, you call a customs broker and pick it up at the closest port.

I really cannot see even a catalytic converter action taking care of the smoke and carbon monoxide with a 2 pound roast for non outside vented operation. Sounds deadly.
The FRS 5lb monolith used a CC for inside/non-vented operation. I used one for more than a year and am living to tell the tale. I guess it's possible, but I'm not seeing where they fit one into this roaster.

How did the FRS CC system work at capacity with darker roasts, such as a French Roast? Was it able to eat up all the smoke and CO?

Jim, do you have a link to that 2 pound fluid bed? Curious to see a pic of it and read its specs.
Best, Len

Honestly, I didn't care. French roast not my market niche, a dozen+ other roasters cater to that.
However, the FRS isn't recommended for that. The smoke in the cooling tray was enough on lighter roasts - I had fans attached to mine to disperse. With a french roast I doubt you could use it in a shop environment because of that alone and you'd probably burn out the CC/filters well before intended.

This is the first time for years since my old faithful Stir Crazy/Galloping Gourmet that refuses to die after roasting 1lb/wk for 10 years now, that a roaster has caught my eye.
This machine definitely looks like the real deal, i just need a few beta-testers to pitch in with real-wordl results.
