You just had a dusting. Our front door had a drift of 4 ft against it today, the sidewalk had 2 1/2 feet. I'm in Connecticut. I believe it is the most snow we have ever received since I was a kid over 45 years ago. The damn plows are plowing 3 feet away from the curbs, go figure.

roasting might be a satisfactory cause for gypsy'ism... today was 65F light breezes and two lovely outdoors roasts of Ethiopian greens from SM's. But I do appreciate your circumstance.

I've roasted outdoors in much colder weather (about 30 degrees F here now). But never this much snow. My grill is buried, literally, in a 4 foot snow drift.

I still have a sense of disbelief when I think about the Eskimo peoples using ice to build shelters and even more, create enough depth in the walls to light a fire, sleep all night and make a nice go of it for breakfast in the morning. I imagine I could roast at 30 F, though I'm quite sure I'd be pushing flat stale beans out of the HotTop with that kind of environmental delta vee. But, I'd be very impressed to see someone roasting under the ice roof in a smallish built for purpose roasting room during/after a blizzard :)

Just got done with the snow shoveling/plowing. I say shoveling/plowing because the snowblower auger died about 3/4 of the way through. The rest was by hand. 4 foot snow drifts and end of driveway half frozen mountains caused by the town plows. Good for the gut, makes 6 pack abs and bulging biceps. I won't be able to walk through a doorway without turning sideways. Couple more days of doing this and I'll be able to tear phone books in half.

It got up to 46 degrees today and they are calling for 40 tomorrow with rain. Crazy weather. But I still am not roasting until it's around 70 or so with the sun shining. (Yes - I am a fair weather coffee bean roaster). :-)

All kidding aside, I am a bit concerned about the forecast for rain the next couple of days. Last time in CT where we had alot of snow, then rain, lots of roofs collapsed. Not a good situation.

was down to the last 20 something grams left. had to roast today. In a new temporary place, so roasted in the doorway with a fan and large snowbanks for a backdrop/windblock mid 30s
