Posted Sun Apr 28, 2013, 9:34am Subject: Dead FR 500 :(
So my Freshroast 500 died on me yesterday. Can't say I've been real nice to it- back to back roasts with a cooling cycle between. About three years and probably 200 lbs of coffee roasted. It gets hot but not hot enough. Took it apart and blew it out, looking for anything loose or obvious, no luck still no go. Good thing my old faithful sc/to is still working like a champ, and spring is here! I've been getting more and more frustrated with the small roasts anyways, so I guess it's just time to move on. Just wanted to share- in case anyone's curious about the life expectancy of a freshroast.
