I'm looking at doing home roasting, and i'm not sure where is the right place to get.
Can anyone recommend me any wholesalers?

Private mail me if it's inconvenient.

Don't they have strict import controls on unroasted coffee in Malaysia? Getting them through the mail might work. USPS is about USD60 from the US to Asia for 15 lbs. I get some through GCBC.

According to Click Here (www.indexmundi.com) there were 1.3 million 60 lbs bags imported into Malaysia last year. Given the proximity to India, Sumatra, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, I'd expect that it would be easier to find green beans in Malaysia that in the US.

Or is it all used to make green coffee diet pills?

I wouldn't say its rarer in Asia, but it's there if you know where to look.

It's funny you asked where I got my coffee from in another thread regarding my behmor sumatra profile. I got my sumatran when I was in Jakarta, I went to one of the pasars (markets), look around for coffee shops (literally shops that sells coffee beans green or roasted) and ask if they have any green beans, sometimes they are not put on displays but they have "channels" to get them from if they don't have them in stores. Price-wise is on average about 1/2 of what the US vendors are charging. I'm sure you can negotiate them down if you are regulars.

I brought back about 5 kgs of a variety of green beans, that's why I asked about behmor profile.

Hope that helps.

I bought 75kg of coffee in Singapore.
Few years back, but excellent quality and price.
