I just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone that has helped me start roasting.  Much to the chagrin of my wife, I've found a new hobby that I'm completely in love with!

I'm sitting here sipping a cup of Samatra Mandheling Grade One (from Sweet Maria's) that I roasted two days ago.  I *thought* I loved the Mandheling I get from a local roaster, but it is awful compared to my own roast!  It still amazes me that with a small investment in time and money ($50, not counting beans), I am able to produce coffee that puts my local roaster to shame.  I also can't believe that I've only been doing this for two weeks, yet have incredible results!  I can't wait to taste the results of my efforts once I have more experience under my belt.

Regardless, none of this great brew would be possible without help that I've received here.  I thank you all for that--my tastebuds also thank you!

Enjoying life one sip at a time,

Pete
