I have seen many references to adjusting the pressurestat but not how to do it.

I have an old machine that I have restored with a brand new gauge that sits in the red zone.

Does anyone know how to adjust these? There are 2 screws that look likely - see photo.

Thanks, Ron

I personally never saw a pressurestat like that ,
you can send the pick to elktra or plug it in and turn the screws one at the time for 1/4 turn and see what's up

It looks like a microswitch that is actuated by a diaphragm and rod. Do the two brass screws just attach the switch to the bracket?

Is there any movement in the rod at all as the boiler comes up to pressure? If not, try removing the two screws on the square brass section (at the top in your picture), you'll probably find that there is some sort of diaphragm in there that may be damaged.

I can't quite make out from your pic whether the big brass nut in the middle is for holding on the microswitch bracket or controls rod protrusion.

You should be able to test the switch - with the machine on, actuate the switch manually and the heater should go off.

Cheers

Ian

The 2 screws are only for adjustment. They are labelled, as you can see. This picture, in the machine, might make it clearer. The switch works as the pressure does stablilise (in the red zone).

Thanks for your ideas, Ron

Still hoping to hear from someone who knows how to adjust this.

The 2 screws are marked - 1V  and   the sine wave symbol

Thanks, Ron
