Posted Sun Aug 10, 2003, 11:10pm Subject: Help! Cuisinart..new coffee maker choice?
Hello,
I appreciate any advice. I had a Krups coffee maker, which I loved, but my parrot chewed off the rubber pieced under the water marker. I fixed it, but he got to it again, and the water leaked and it shorted out. I need my coffee in the AM and I rushed over to Macy's and got a Cuisinart Grind and Blend (DGB-500BK)for $99, marked down from $150. I have not opened it up, but I now see that it uses a flat filter and not a cone filter. I had thought a cone filter is better? And now I have found that this maker seems to have bad reviews? I am thinking of returning it and getting another Krups. Any advice??? Thanks!

Hi...I own a Cuisinart Brew Central 12 cup...it brews decently hot...if you're not home roasting, have a decent grinder this would be a good choice...they're often discounted to $75 at Bed And bath with a coupon...Costco also features them.. have you tried a French press?..good luck....Robert
