Subject: Lance Larkin Brew Express in-wall plumbed coffee maker

Hi all,

I'm a little surprised not to find a single mention of this item searching through this forum.  Is it perhaps that it is not worthy of consideration or is it just too new or unknown?

Their site:
www.lancelarkin.com

They are obviously gearing this toward the mass market and not the coffee afficianado as there isn't much technical detail about the product on their site.  The only thing of real relevence to the product is that it "lays down an even spread of water on the ground coffee beans at the perfect temperature."

Does anyone have any experience with this machine?  It seems so ideal from where I sit, but I don't want to spend $400 on a machine until I know it will make me a nice cup of joe.

The other plumbed coffee makers that I've found follow.  Most are thermal carafe, none are in wall, of course.  It seems like the going rate is about $500 for most of them..  Given that, I'll likely go with this Larkin fellow's machine or a Technivorm Moccamaster KBTS 741.  This is not an endorsement of the Technivorm, it just seems to be highly regarded here and probably most appropriate for me.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
Bill.

After digging a little deeper, I found several references to the Newco OCS-12A, which is my likely choice now.

I'd still like to know if anyone here has anything to say about the Brew Express...

Thanks,
Bill.
