Subject: The Best Buy Challenge! What's their best drip machine?

O.k. so I get a $50 BestBuy (BB) gift card from my boss, and the only thing that I am interested in is a coffee maker.   I actually hate BB, and personally wouldn't buy anything from there, but I have to use 50 $ for something.

Challenge: What's their best coffee maker  (any price range) (from online best buy coffee makers )

TIA!

p.s. I am thinking the Cuisinart 12-cup brewcentral

EDIT:  NEVERMIND GOING TO SAVE MYSELF FUTURE HEADACHES AND BUY A TECHNIVORM :)  I was trying to force a square through a circle hole, by buying a *good* coffeemaker at BB.

For drip coffee there is really only (IMO) Technivorm, Capresso MT500 or Newco

There are several web sites that enable you to swap you gift cards with someone else who also has a card they don't want.
Here is a short article that lists a few: Click Here

I agree with the brew central. It does heat the water to the proper temp.

No BUNN fans here? A VP17 is all you need to match industry standards of satisfaction... keeps the water at 200+.

About that Best Buy gift card... go buy some movies...

/annoyed by gimmicky home units and their "home" looks and programmable/brew-strength/practical-smacktacal designs...

Another Bunn fan here.  After getting it dialed in for half-pot brews, there's nothing to compare, imo.

Had my Bunn since last winter. No need for any other drip machine.
