I've used Ethiopia (Harrar and Y...), Kenya, Yemen, East Timor, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and Panama single origin, and several blends including a Jamaican Blue blend, with great success. I do prefer mid-range to light roasts versus dark, so my sampling is not broad in that respect.
The only bad coffee I've gotten from the Moka Brew was from a free bag of Millstone Foglifter that I tossed after one sip. Truly awful, but I don't blame the Krups for that.
I know the review here includes advice against certain types of beans, but I haven't experienced it so far. But then we each have our own taste history, expectations, and preferences.
