A poll for you, regarding the settings you are using:

  1. Grinder setting on Rocky (e.g. #30) ?

  2. Grams of whole beans used (e.g. 50 grams) ?

  3. Amount of water you are brewing with the above settings (e.g. 8 cups or 32 oz) ?

thanks.

  1. For a Rocky find the zero my zero is at 3 on my rocky yours may be different.  I grind espresso at 8  drip at 40 and aeropress at 30-25

  2. For most drip a tablespoon for each cup is the norm  adjust from there to taste..........  I have a Bunn and make 12 cups at a time and use 33 to 34g for brewing comes out to my taste OK.

  3. Do not be afraid to play with the grind and amount of water you will find your  own Nirvana

I have two identical setups. One at work and one at home. I have found that the grind at 30 works good for me with 50 grams of coffee. I fill the reservoir all the way to the lip for more volume. I cant imagine a better cup of drip. I will also stir the grinds as it hits the 10 cup line, seems to give it a better saturation quicker and improves the overall cup quality.
