I bought a Bloomfield 8543 12cup pourover last fall at a flea market. Looked like little use and $20.. Today I took it all apart and cleaned-up like new and then brewed a pot.  Worked fine and brews a very nice cup. Sweeter than a Presto Scandinavian cause of the shorter brew cycle but not quite as flavorful as a Technivorm. I saw a stainless basket advertised thats deeper and uses the Satellite filters for use in 12cup flat basket brewers, 7.5". Implies that it's better for fresh roasts that are bloomy. Has anyone tried one of these? filter basket

Howdy, Ed.  I'm blowing the dust bunnies and kicking the tumbleweeds off this thread for you.  It looks like your brewer doesn't have a lot of clearance between the top of the pot and the bottom of the standard basket.  Do you NEED a taller basket?  And, for $20 investement, why not get the plastic one for half the price?  And one more question, what kind of filters were you planning to use in place of the swissgold from your Technivorm?

Hey Chad   Did a pot this morning, a Guat. with only 36hrs rest and it bloomed over the paper filter, hit the sprayhead but not quite out of the basket. Tried another, ground, let it sit for about 5-10 mins. before brewing and it didn't quite bloom over this time. Been using paper filter so far. Thinking that the larger brew amount has a little less flavor loss effect. I ended up buying 4 used/very clean little use, Newco Barista B180 series(averaged about $75. ea.), 2 are B180-0 lower profile 2 B180-4 little taller. Can adjust temp., flow rate/ brew time and volume. I'm starting to build my coffee brewing/ espresso and roasting station. Water line, 2-20amp circuits, exhaust hood etc.
