So I think I'm going to have to CraigA help me out with this one. I spoke to Joann and she quoted a price of $112 US (which is great), but directed me to make the purchase in Canada through BBC Sales. Unfortunately BBC Sales is quoting $170 Canadian + shipping. Shipping via Purolator is likely going to run me about $15 - $20 based on my experience.
That's not a good deal considering the Canadian dollar is higher, and even if I do express air the most I could expect would be $35 - $45 shipping still saving me about $43 (not factoring in dollar differences). Based on my experience shipping from the US I would pay about $20 - $25 for ground saving me about $53.
Anyone else have suggestions or their experience taking advantage of the club discount in Canada?
The list price for the Newco OCS-12 from BBC Sales is $190.00 Can. John (Avrus) was quoted a price of $170.00 Can from the B.C. office. I was able to get a price for John of $152.00 through an arrangement with the Sales Mgr Gerry Brine at the Mississauge office, & being a member of the GCBC & using my membership discount (Customer ID "Greencoffe") to get John a better discount. BBC sales ordered a OCS-12 by mistake for me some time ago around last summer to fall.
I made an inquiry to the Mississauga office to see if they still had it (they did), & made arrangements to confirm the purchase for John through me (to mention my name to Gerry or Donna) as I bought a OSC-8 from them in Jan/07 & got the discount.
If you'd like to purchase either brewer from BBC, just mention the above Customer ID membership to Gerry at the Mississauga office to get the discount.

Dealing with the Mississauga office was night and day difference over the BC office also. They had pricing information handy, knew what I was talking about and processed my order quickly and completely.
