Hello , i found this forum while searching for answers on the web about a cofee maker I have been trying to find for years. I hope that someone here can help me. Several years ago say in the mid 90's there was a morning show on ABC (I think) called Mike and Maty. On the show one day they had coffee maker ,like a french press that you would put your freshly ground beans in and add water. The press would act over night and the next morning you had a pot of the coffee oil basically. Then you used a couple of spoonfulls of the coffee in your cup and added near boiling water . the result was (according to the show hosts) a very rich flavorful coffe that was not bitter but very strong. According to expert hosts , coffee becomes bitter by being boiled. Now i dont know if its true or not but I have been intrigued with the idea and would like to try it if I could find the device. i thought it was made by Braun but I havent been able to find one. Is anyone familiar with a device of this sort or the process. Thanks
