Hmmmm.....I might know something about that :)  Check out BunnAtHome.com tomorrow or Saturday. Word on the street is that trifecta MB will sell for $499.

Well I tried to hold out until I could hear a bit more feedback from CoffeeCon attendees, but I cracked. :) my order is placed, so all that's left is waiting for the postman.

Any idea if there will be any retailers? I would want to see and demo the machine before spending $500, though I really want it!

Right now, and for the near future, the trifecta will only be available on BunnAtHome.com.  We're hoping to find a way to get it out and about for people to see it in action.  If that happens, I will definitely post it here.

Would a Breville Smart Grinder be able to grind coarse enough for this machine? I'm disabled, and it would seem to be easier to get a more consistent dosage when dialed in. I'm only asking this because Coffee Kevin recommended a coarser grind and it seems to be an issue with the Breville.

I happened to mention to Coffee Kevin that I was looking at a Vario-W for my mixed brewing needs and he recommended the Baratza Virtuoso Preciso as it was noted at being better at coarse grinds (which is also in keeping with Mr Prince's Baratza model comparison.) You can get a Virtuoso Preciso refurb unit from Baratza for $239 which is about $40 more than I've seen the Breville Smart Grinder, or a new Virtuoso for $229.

Here is a comparison of the Breville Smart Grinder with the Baratza Virtuoso done by Kat and Gail at Seattle Coffee Gear.

Right now I'm considering a Virtuoso Preciso with the Esatto base to do weight based grinding.

Thanks, Lisa.

I assume there was a large influx of orders when it went live, do you know how long the backlog is for shipping orders?

Lisa, can you provide the dimensions of the machine? I want to be sure it will fit under my cabinets.

I asked this same question on Facebook and got a reply with the dimensions as follows: 9.25"W x 15.25"H x 12"D
