IMAWriter, your posts were anything but "merely trying to understand". You pretty much implied you knew the answer to Evan's question by saying in all caps to go back and read the review. That wasn't helpful. Then in your follow-up post, your over the top response was far from congenial. Further, you closed by telling Evan to try out the product to convince himself it really works, implying that you felt he was perhaps being unnecessarily skeptical.
GO BACK AND READ EVAN'S FIRST POST AGAIN. THEN READ YOUR RESPONSES. For such a simple bit of confusion on Evan's part, and his sincere request for someone to help him understand, it seemed to elicit a very complicated response on your part, rich with subtle and not so subtle bullying.
I wasn't trying to compare anything, and I wasn't saying that the Trifecta DOESN'T properly extract. I was simply asking how it managed to extract in the time it does....I just just curious. That's all.

My trifectaMB arrived today coinciding with the delivery of my Baratza Preciso grinder. I also received a surprise package of Intelligentsia Anjilanaka today with a recommendation for preparing it with the trifectaMB. After getting both the grinder and brewer set up I brewed 12oz with the recommended B and :40 settings and let 'er rip. I have to say, I love watching this thing brew.
I split the first brew with my wife who after trying it replied,"good enough to drink black." High praise I assure you from a woman who's greatest comfort food is a large Dunkin Donuts coffee with extra cream. I would try to describe the cup, but I was so busy just enjoying it I forgot to takes notes. :)
My wife plans to sign me up for the first season of Coffee Gadget Hoarders.
Yes they did. Interestingly the packages return address was for Lisa McCloud who posts here a lot and the card inside it thanking me for my purchase and giving me the recommended settings was written by Amanda (I'm assuming the same one who posts at SSCF.)
Thanks to both ladies for the nice surprise.
