Posted Fri May 11, 2012, 12:54pm Subject: Ganging up on the Viking "Professional" 12 cup coffee maker
Viking recently announced that it was getting out of producing small kitchen appliances. The 12 cup model # VCCM 12 bk coffee maker was among those products.
The Viking was priced at the upper end of electric drip machines, with serious competition from Breville, perhaps Capresso, and certainly Technivorn. Once the closeout announcement was made, prices began to fall on remaining inventory. MY wife brought one home. We checked out reviews..............though there were satisfied customers, there was a significant group of down right rants. We reviewed the brief instructions with careful attention to such things as positioning components, adjustment methods, calibrating, etc. With a little attention to detail this machine works really well. I've had some really wonderful coffee. Seems that the device has been mu7ch maligned by many who didn't read directions, are in a hurry, and are prone to hyperbole.
