I just bought this mach at Costco yesterday for $60 & made my 1st cup this A.M. The 1st thing I noticed was that the coffee was not very hot-which was a red flag for me implying that the brewing temp as too low. The coffee I used was a Costco Kirtland "house blend" which did not have a very remarkable taste anyway so I can't really judge the coffeemaker. Does anyone have an opinion of this particular coffeemaker? I just found this forum & love it because I love good coffee. I see some drip machines touted that I would be willing to spring for if necessary.

Hi Chasemonster, Thanks for replying. Fair enough, but I have another coffee maker at our other house that is always hot & I never heat the carafe. Maybe its hotplate is hotter but I always pour the coffee into a thermos as soon as it's brewed. Two of the negative reviewers on Amazon also mentioned that the coffee was warm (not hot).
