]Hi guys. Trying out this machine I borrowed from a friend, wanted something that does filter coffee. Anyone used this machine? Have any tips and tricks? I just made a pot of filter and it isn't as strong as I'd like, been using a french press and that definitely comes out stronger. What can I do to tweak it to my liking? And anyone had any success with making espresso in this thing? Oh, also don't have the instruction manual and can't find online, any idea where I can get it?

Well at least you don't have any money in it. Do not expect much from this machine in brewed Or espresso. On the espresso side, it is a "steam toy", that is you put water in the "boiler" then close the lid and wait for the water to boil, creating pressure to make the coffee. The water from a steam toy is both TOO HOT and TOO LOW in pressure to make espresso. These machines appeal to people who really don't know very much about coffee and are looking for an inexpensive setup to do both. In reality, it does neither well.

Ok, thanks. Yeah, I didn't have much faith in its ability just thought I would give it a try. Am I better off going for a stand-alone filter coffee maker?
